...a few words from Pat Smage

If there was one word to describe the 2006 Sherco 290, it would be: perfect. When I first saw the bike, I was amazed. It looked completely new, with the black frame, forks and rims, among many other improvements.

The first time I rode it, it was just for a quick ride around the parking lot at RYP. Right away I could tell that it was the best bike I had ever ridden. The first thing I noticed was the suspension. The new Paioli forks accompanied by an Olle shock is the perfect combination. I never thought a shock could make so much difference, it felt like a bicycle, making backwheel moves a whole lot easier. I could also feel the much more lively shock helping over every obstacle. The forks have been updated and are now adjustable and work great.

The overall feel of the bike is awesome, I was instantly used to everything on it. The motor is very powerful in every gear. First, second, and third gear splatters were made much easier with the strong motor. The brakes are spot on as always and the aluminum footpegs are a nice touch and provide great boot traction. This bike has already improved my riding ability, and I know it will keep helping me do things I could not do before!
